Getting to, from, and around at Good Neighbor Day

The start and finish of the race is on Pennsylvania Avenue, in Downingtown, Pa – right next to Kerr Park.

Parking is available is a number of parking lots around the borough, including the following:

Behind the Downingtown Library on Wallace Avenue.
In the parking lot at Kardon Park off Pennsylvania Avenue.

The schedule for the entire day is available on the Schedule page. Please note that the schedule is updated over time as the day’s events are organized and finalized.

No, it is not. It is run by a group of local volunteers who live and work in the Downingtown area. The Borough of Downingtown actively supports Good Neighbor Day, but the event is not organized by the Borough.

Good Neighor Day fundraises for the local ambulance and rescue services in the Downingtown Area School District catchment area. All proceeds of the day are split evenly between the seven fire and rescue companies. The beneficiaries are as follows:

Good Neighbor Day is held every 4th of July in Kerr Park, in Downingtown, PA. It’s a fun-filled day for the whole family – adults and children of all ages.

The entire Good Neighbor Day is organized and run by a team of volunteers working under the Good Neighbor Day 501(c)3 non-profit. Our volunteers are local residents and business leaders.
